Headline Promising Mini Fuel Cells
Date 2009/10/20
Content

Syspotek Corporation, established in 2005 and the first mini fuel cell manufacture in Taiwan, has successfully developed 100w portable fuel cell charger-FCS5 that can be adopted for cell phone, 3C product and LED illuminator.

Unlike hybrid fuel cell secondary batteries, such as lithium hydride and nickel hydride batteries, needed to recharge as the power is run out, FCS5 is fueled by direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) to generate endlessly power with timely replenishment of methanol.

No longer viewed as electronic components, TOSHIBA and SONY are devoting mini fuel cells, yet they have not released any products; in additionally, Taiwan is abound in professionals and technologies for mini components and it’s a niche for Syspotek to grab mini fuel cells’ business.
